Six years ago, Stan was searching for a home to plant roots in his beloved Oakland. This three-time Local Hero Award recipient, San Francisco Bay Area Jefferson Award recipient, Operations Manager of La Farine Bakeries, Executive Director of Oakland Trails, and documentary short filmmaker, felt he had found his forever home when he purchased 3303 Oak Knoll. The mid-century jewel was a homey space for him and the oversized master bedroom was a relaxing retreat at the end of his long days. Not long after the ink dried on his closing papers, Stan set out to make lasting improvements. The old worn roof was ripped off and a light and efficient foam roof was installed, and the oversized driveway was replaced with beautiful paver stones. The property was upgraded with new copper pipes (2017), new heating ducts, new air conditioning (2015), and electrical panel (2015), and much more. Every improvement made was selected for longevity. Stan's home is a reflection of his character and pride.
